Meet Megan Robinson, our new Conveyancing Solicitor

Based in our South Shields office, we're excited to introduce Megan Robinson, our latest Conveyancing Solicitor, to the Sort Legal team.
Since joining Sort Legal, Megan has quickly settled in thanks to the friendly and supportive environment we pride ourselves on at Sort Legal. With a strong legal background and a love for Ibiza (where she even tied the knot!) Megan is now ready to start her career in Conveyancing
We caught up with her to find out more...
How have you found it at Sort Legal so far?
It has been really good so far, everyone is so friendly and helpful, which makes for a great environment to work in!
What made you want to join our Sort Legal team?
I was looking for an opportunity closer to home, and Sort Legal caught my eye. Their great reputation and growth over the last year was something that stood out to me.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got into conveyancing?
I graduated from Northumbria University in 2020, began my training contract in 2021 and qualified as a solicitor in 2023. During university, Property Law stood out to me as an interesting topic, and the majority of my training contract was spent in the conveyancing department.
What does a typical day look like for you as a Conveyancing solicitor?
It is very fast-paced - there is always something to do, but I wouldn’t change it.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone buying or selling their home for the first time?
Try not to stress too much, although I do understand buying and/or selling your home can be a stressful experience- choosing a good solicitor will help relieve that stress.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A vet, as I have always loved animals.
What’s something people might not know about you outside of work?
I have visited Ibiza countless times - it is my favourite place to be, and I got married there in 2023!
What is your favourite film/TV show?
My favourite film is Mean Girls, and TV show is The Sopranos. I have watched them both countless times- they are both the ultimate comfort watch.
If you could invent one thing, what would it be?
A device to allow you to travel anywhere in the world instantly - free of charge.
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Travel to as many countries as possible.
What would you say to someone looking to start a career in Conveyancing?
Go for it! There is a great sense of achievement in helping clients with such a big part of their lives.
