Indicative Timescales

Complaints Procedure

At Sort Legal, we very much hope that every transaction proceeds smoothly and without any serious issues. However we understand that things don’t always go as planned. We would encourage you to resolve any issues you may have with your transaction with your dedicated fee earner or their team leader. If you are unable to satisfactorily resolve your concerns this way, then we have a formal complaints process to resolve any complaints received from clients.

Please download the complaints procedure using this link.

As a CLC licensed entity we have professional indemnity insurance cover provided by Chubb European Group PLC and Axis Specialty Europe SE with a limit of £2,000,000.00 for any claim.

In addition our clients are able to access the compensation fund operated by the CLC. The Compensation Fund is administered by the CLC as a fund for clients who have suffered financial loss at the hands of a CLC-regulated lawyer and where other remedies have failed. It is funded by a levy on the Regulated Community.
